Farnood moved to the UK in 1996 and has lived and worked in Sussex ever since. He also has 2 adult children, of which one is following his footsteps and training to become a dentist. He has a love for countryside holidays and reading philosophy. Farnood is also highly skilled with advanced oral surgeries, implant placement and restorations, implant retained dentures bone grafts and sinus lifts. “I love my job passionately and have connected to so many people during the years. I have taken part in thousands of people’s care during the years, and I think and hope that the impact has mostly been positive and together we have achieved better oral health and overall quality of life. I hope to carry on with this for some years to come with the help of my patients and colleagues. I’m very open to feedback, as I believe the principal factor is third party perception rather than self-assurance.

Dental nurse (Practice Manager) GDC Number 112113. I qualified as a dental nurse in 1978 and started working at Marine in 1984. There have been changes over the years, but it still remains a friendly environment to work in. I have had the privilege of meeting and interacting with three generations of patients, it has been rewarding to be part of their patient journey as they visit the practice, many of which I can proudly say I am on first name terms with. I am a keen walker having walked the South Downs Way, the Norfolk Coast Path, the 1066 Path, and I am now nearing completion of the South West Coast Path, only about two hundred miles to go! I enjoy cooking and am a voracious reader, especially of science fantasy.

I started working as a dental nurse in Horsham for a year at 17, then went on to work in Mayday Hospital where I did my Enrolled Nurse general training and worked for 10 happy years. I then moved to Worthing and joined the team at Marine Dental Practice in 1989. I stayed until November 1993 when I left and lived in New Zealand where I worked in a hospital pharmacy. Family brought me back to the U.K., and luckily back into the fold of Marine Dental in January 1996 where I have remained ever since. I married in 2017 to Trevor after many years together, our favorite place to go is North Cornwall. I am a very social person and love communicating with people. I know so many of our patients, and their families. I have a good rapport with patients and staff members, and I keep the reception running mainly single-handed.
